Dr. Jack has been rated as ‘Best for Botox’ in the UK by Tatler in their 2018 Cosmetic Surgery Guide. His extensive experience in plastic surgery, and as a leading skin expert on Harley Street, enable him to create a natural look that reduces your wrinkles without removing your character.

Botulinum toxin A or ‘Botox’ injections reduce the signs of ageing by smoothing out the appearance of wrinkles, helping our skin to appear clearer and more youthful.

Carefully administered botox helps relax the muscles to gently smooth out lines whilst allowing movement and expression. It is particularly effective for lines on the forehead, around the eyes, the neck and to lift the brow.

HOW Does Botox WORK?

Botox works by relaxing the facial musculature which causes the wrinkles that occur in the face as a result of the ageing process. Botox is nothing new and has been used safely in facial aesthetics for over 20 years.

What happens at the appointment?

Dr. Jack treats all his patients personally, starting with a consultation to discuss their desired results and expectations.

Once the treatment has been agreed, the technique of administering Botox involves giving five to eight small injections per area to be treated. Some patients may experience a small level of brief discomfort associated with having an injection.

The overall treatment time is usually around 10-15 minutes.

Is downtime required after the treatment?

No. Some patients may experience minor bruising at the injection points for a few days but this is easily treated with arnica gel and can be concealed with make up.

How many treatments do I need?

One treatment every 3 - 6 months is usually required for desired results.

How quickly will I see results?

Contrary to popular belief, the effects of Botox are not immediate. It usually takes between three and seven days for the effects to be visible with the maximum effect being most noticeable around 14 days after the treatment.

How long does Botox last?

Botox usually lasts between three and six months. After this period Dr. Jack recommends the treatment should then be repeated to continue the effects. Patients find that with repeat treatments the effects last longer, meaning less Botox treatments are needed over time.

Can it be combined with other treatments?

Yes. Botox can be combined with other anti-ageing treatments such as dermal fillers to produce exceptional results.

To get the best possible natural anti-ageing results, Dr David Jack takes an holistic approach to beauty, treating your face as a whole, rather than isolating certain areas. Botox is very effective on its own but when used in conjunction with other treatments it can achieve excellent anti-ageing results.

Dr Jack would be delighted to discuss your requirements and create a personalised treatment package tailored specifically for you.

What parts of the body can Botox be used on?

Botox can be used on the face and neck for anti-ageing results.
Botox can also be used to help patients who suffer from excessive sweating.

Is there any aftercare following Botox treatments?

Generally speaking, Botox treatments are very straightforward with little risk of any significant problems immediately afterwards. This being said, Dr. Jack always recommends that you don’t lie flat for the first hour following the treatment and also avoid strenuous exercise for the first few hours following a treatment.
