Dr David Jack has performed non-surgical nose jobs for many years. Working formerly in plastic surgery in the NHS, his excellent eye for aesthetics, combined with his extreme precision, enable him to re-shape your nose and achieve the perfect, natural shape for you.

What is non-surgical nose reshaping?

Using dermal fillers, this treatment is ideal for correcting and sculpting the contour of your nose. Where once nose shaping surgery was the only option, today the non-surgical rhinoplasty using nose fillers offers a very effective non-invasive alternative.

Dr. Jack and Dr. Mennie generally use Juvederm Fillers and Allergan Botox for this procedure.

What are the benefits of non-surgical rhinoplasty?

This procedure helps correct hooking of the nose, dorsal hump or bump on the bridge of the nose, mildly drooped tip of the nose and mild corrections after surgical nose jobs.
It’s quick to administer, requires no downtime and results are instant.

How does the non-surgical nose job work?

Dr. David Jack uses dermal filler to re-shape and re-contour the nose, often in combination with expertly placed Botox injections to relax the various muscles of the nose. Dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid, a safe substance that occurs naturally in our bodies. The filler is injected, targeting the precise areas that require enhancing or re-balancing.

Dermal fillers are a non-permanent and safe solution and can be removed if there are any issues post-procedure.

What can I expect after the procedure?

For the first 24-48 hours following your procedure, you may experience some swelling. Bruising can occasionally occur (as is the risk with any facial injectable treatment) and will usually resolve over the course of a few days. Swelling usually settles by itself but antihistamine tablets can help speed up this process. Occasionally patients experience mild ache in the area related to swelling or bruising, however there should not be any pain post-procedure.

Botox usually takes 3-5 days to start to work and 10-14 days to reach it’s full effect. The final natural looking result will be apparent after about 5 days.

What happens at the appointment?

Dr Jack will apply a topical anaesthetic cream before injecting the filler in tiny amounts and massaging it into place to carefully smooth out the contours and achieve the desired shape. Botox will then be injected if required.

This safe, painless procedure will take around 10 to 15 minutes.

Is downtime required after the treatment?

No downtime is required post treatment although you may experience some mild bruising which can be covered up with make up. Your nose may be tender for a few days after the treatment. Try to avoid putting any pressure on your nose for the first five days after your treatment, paying particular attention to your sleeping position. If you have a cold or allergies, please blow your nose as gently as possible in the days immediately after the treatment.

How many treatments do I need?

The procedure is carried out in one appointment.

How quickly can I see results?

You will see the results immediately but it usually takes around 5 days for swelling to settle down.

Can it be combined with other treatments?

Yes, as with other dermal filler treatments, non surgical rhinoplasty can be carried out at the same time as other treatments.

Is the procedure painful?

Although this procedure involves injections into the nose, most patients report that that non surgical rhinoplasty procedure is only minimally uncomfortable. A strong topical local anaesthetic is usually applied prior to the procedure to make the process as comfortable as possible. We advise against using local anaesthetic injections for this procedure.

How long do the results last?

Depending on the type of nose filler used, the results will usually last up to 12 months. This varies from person to person, however, and is largely due to how quickly your body processes hyaluronic acid.

Can I still have this procedure if I'm planning to have a surgical rhinoplasty later?

Yes. If you are planning to do a surgical rhinoplasty occasionally your surgeon will ask that any filler is removed prior to operating. We offer this service in clinic also.

How long does the procedure take?

Usually the procedure itself takes around five minutes. The strong topical anaesthetic takes around 5-10 minutes to work so we generally allocate a 30 minute appointment for this procedure.
